Sometimes people have this flawed idea that I have it together … I certainly tried to!
It was exhausting because I still thought I had to be perfect to be loved.
Weird.
I was chasing love, or maybe I was confusing love with acceptance. That’s just one major personal shift that happened on my TEDx journey!
If ever there was a time in my life when I saw that perfection is overrated, it was in creating, practicing and delivering my TEDx Talk. My passion for humanity is so much more important than how it looked in the process – what a journey!
I’m so grateful to my coach, Barrie Barton, who created the event. I really, really didn’t want to memorize my talk. If you know me, you’ll know I’m so in the flow with what’s happening in the moment, seeing how I can assist that flow even more. Barrie just kept on helping me see what was possible.
The only way I was able to appreciate and learn from this journey was to know that my heart had something to say about this human journey … that we’re not alone … that it’s not a hopeless time. We’re either contributing to the struggles in the world with an attitude of “every person for themselves” or we’re being dreamt by something within our hearts without giving our power away to those who seem to have it.
What inspired the TEDX Talk is that my heart questioned why so many are waiting for somebody else to change things?
I felt so incredibly vulnerable in this journey and was honored to learn something new, and play with new people who were also feeling the same, that are now soul family.
I’m also so grateful to have watched the talk again just yesterday. My perfectionist mind had much to say, but I let my eyes see and hear through my heart. I felt proud and humbled that I answered the very question that I asked others to pose of themselves during my talk (you’ll see).
This talk is about being the love that I feel within, and my passion for our freedom to create the world we imagine for ourselves and everyone.
I truly hope you’ll feel that when you watch. Honestly, I hope that it either changes and inspires you, or helps you feel the empowerment of being part of a movement, instead of being alone.

Isn’t it time for us to transcend waiting for visible leaders, and just do what we know is possible ourselves, together?
What would be possible if you didn’t need to get it right, look good, or be perfect…and then you just let your heart lead? Can’t wait to hear!
Love you, it’s time!
PS – My favorite thing was talking to my parents about how many people they’d shared it with … and how excited, inspired, and proud they were … squishy and blessed … sigh.
