Ingredients for finding fluidity in family

“The Universe sees you as completely perfect,
no matter what you’re going through.

One of my favorite movies is How to Train Your Dragon. In the movie, the kid’s name is Hiccup. His father, Stoick the Vast, puts an older man, Gobber the blacksmith, in charge of Hiccup. After a particularly embarrassing mishap by Hiccup, Gobber waves his hand in the boy’s general direction, chases after him for a while, and says, “You know, Hiccup, you’re going to have to stop all of … this.” Hiccup replies, “But you just pointed to all of me”! “Yes, that’s it,” says Gobber, “You need to stop being all of you.”

Maybe you’ve felt like Hiccup at times in your life, and you’ve been defending yourself from criticism or harm ever since. Perhaps you’ve come to believe that someone else’s opinion of you is the truth of who you are.

Maybe, like me, you morphed yourself so that you’d be lovable or acceptable to others. Maybe, you react when you don’t feel connected and aren’t looking for the “third entity” solution to the problem. Maybe you’re not well practiced at answering the question, “What would love do”?

In the movie, the audience finds out that Hiccup becomes the hero only when he fully accepts who he is and uses his unique abilities to free his people and the dragons. It’s an entertaining parable, and it happens to be true. Hiccup discovers just how hard it is to live up to someone else’s expectations, if that means living against his true nature.

Soul Family doesn’t need you to change. If you’re fortunate, some of them can be biological family. The Universe sees you as completely perfect, no matter what you’re going through.

It doesn’t have a problem with anything you say or do. When you’re a little off track, it redirects you to something that better serves your highest and best, without judgment .

Would you do the same for your family?

With all my love,
Jennifer

P.s. This is an excerpt from Chapter 5 – Finding Harmony and Fluidity with Family in my book UNSTUCKThe Physics of Getting Out of Your Own Way. If you’d like more context and further understanding of anything that has you saying to yourself ‘What does that mean? …. Then I invite you to head on over to Amazon to get your copy in paperback, Kindle or Audible. Heck … some have them in all three formats … to listen while driving or on a walk, to read by the pool or lakeside or while on a plane … choose what fits your fancy!

My two favorite words…

My two favorite words…

When our actions resonate with our purpose and we’re aligned with the Universe’s potential for us, it’s such an expansive feeling.

The feeling of expansiveness validates you are in flow.

The alignment with greater wisdom is translated through our body as feelings of ‘woo hoo’, ‘yes!’, goosebumps, or fun! It’s confirmation that we’re acting and thinking in line with our ‘highest and best’ life, using our skills and personality, creating in the most aligned way.

Being Happy 101

Being Happy 101

Being Happy 101 – With the next Flight School (our nine-month program) about to start, I’m aware of some pretty powerful insights about my own life, ten of them in fact!

One: Reacting to circumstances definitely leads to drama. Drama always takes me out of my knowing, distracting me from my connection with Innate Wisdom.

Two: My happiness absolutely cannot come from circumstances changing. My happiness must be accessible, regardless of circumstances. It cannot be dependent on how the world is, how the people in my life behave, or an expectation that everything should be perfect. Everything is becoming which, by definition, means it isn’t perfect.

Three: It’s not my job to carry the weight of the world. My job is to show up in love and compassion. It’s not my job to make other people happy but rather to learn to be grounded in my heart. It’s not my job to protect my heart but to emanate from the heart.

What if all the beliefs that you adhere to aren’t even yours?

What if all the beliefs that you adhere to aren’t even yours?

Something happened this week that was such a great reminder to remain humble, and know that we are all human. It also reminded me that we are all human and any beliefs that anyone is better than you or I, are simply old beliefs.

This week I was on a beautiful cheer-fest for Money and You with my dear friend Doria Cordova with well-known thought leaders from all over the world. It was a privilege to be included.

The leaders that have taken Money and You are all incredibly humble and so smart…..and you probably know their names; Jack Canfield, Ken Honda just to name a few.

And, there was a leader who was there that behaved a little differently than the others. He also did not exude the humility of the rest. And I realized that he had stuck beliefs and was being righteous, and that I had beliefs about how he should be.
