When you remember that being alive is the real gift…

I was recently reminded of a newsletter I wrote this summer. It was about how a day full of rain reminded me of three things. The sky’s clearing was an indicator of what was to come. It made me smile.

I truly do find nature is such a metaphor for what is going on in life, in the world, and certainly in my relationships and my business; do you?

I heard this little voice say, “The clearing in the distance, and the beauty of that sunset, are happening right now, and the clouds haven’t disappeared.”

It reminded me that:

1. Clouds provide rain, nourishment, and clear the air, and that is just as beautiful as a sunset.

“No matter what I go through, it is all life, and to be alive is glorious with all of its experiences. There is no “perfect looking” life; there is only a rich one.”

2. The clearing wasn’t better than the clouds; it was in concert with the clouds. The clouds weren’t “less than.” It didn’t matter that the clear skies were over there, or how incredible the sunset was. The clouds that remained provided the contrast for one of the most WOW visions I had ever seen.

“There is no good or bad. There is just experience that is communicating. You may have a rash on your skin, but that rash tells you that you are tired, and you got sensitive to grass for a day because you didn’t take care of yourself. That is just a communication for which to be grateful.”

3. The sunset was ridiculously gorgeous, but it wasn’t in the distance. In a time-space reality, it was right there, right then. It was simultaneously happening. I had been acting like NOW was less optimal, and WHAT’S OVER THERE is better. NOPE! The sunset, in all its glory, only happened because of all that had been happening that day, and sunsets are always on the horizon. But we witness them right now!

“I got to choose the beauty of that sunset that was happening in the now, to be in my experience now. Not some amazing day that was going to happen tomorrow, and I’d have to survive this suboptimal now, with a little rain. If I could see it, my body had access to all the richness of the future potential now, along with the richness of the clouds that I could almost touch, and the moisture on my skin.”

I had an instant body rush. You know those moments where you remember that being alive is the real gift, and you feel it in your cells at a whole new level? Colors are brighter, love is deeper, and you feel as though you might not even need sleep tonight.

Here’s the “or better” question to ask ourselves:

“WHAT AM I CHOOSING TO BRING INTO MY EXPERIENCE NOW, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE FULL MANIFESTATION OF IT IN 3D IS HERE YET OR NOT?”

I am sovereign. It is my brain, my consciousness.
My choice. I am a victim of NOTHING.

That is why ANYTHING is possible for your life.

You ALWAYS have access to the beauty of now. Even if it seems hard. One little brain switch, an attention switch, can change everything.

BUT YOU MUST take space to actually access that.

I’m human, and sometimes I forget (even though I teach this stuff!) to take as much space for myself away from the house. Space in my life and in your life is a metaphor for the space between the atoms of this 3D reality. That is where possibility lives. Literally, the metaphysical space, which has not yet landed in physical form.

Realizations that change my day, week, or life require the space to receive them. Usually for me that is while on a walk, hike, bike ride, or something outside. For you, it might be meditation in a sacred room, or at an altar.

Just know that anything you want is available now. It takes space.

It doesn’t matter if your desire is actually happening right now, it just matters that your body can feel it. If your body can feel it, you are generating the chemistry that lines you up with all the steps. The richness of life is gleaned from those unfolding steps, and the creativity of following the call of what’s inside you.

If you never take space, you will always struggle, because you’ll be living in the autopilot of shoulds, musts, and have-to’s. You will live life by rote, instead of living in flow.

Your body will always let you know if you are in the flow of your most delicious path.

So happy to be beside you on the way!

With love,
Jennifer
