There are certain people who don’t just pass through your life. They change the whole trajectory of it.
My dear friend Leslie, who’s passing was so sudden 2 weeks ago, was one of those people for me. Before meeting her, I had been very left brained. Then, I got really sick, and she handed me the book that opened the door to a completely different way of understanding healing. That doorway eventually led to me having the largest integrated health clinic in Canada, and even to the health school we started together.
I honestly don’t know who I would be, or what I would be writing to you about right now, if Leslie had not loved me into a bigger world.
She didn’t argue with my skepticism. She just loved me, and stayed completely unattached to whether I “got it” right away. She came from a family where talking to angels, speaking with guides, and sensing the other side of the veil was normal. For me, at the time, it was all very out there. But because there was no judgment in her, only kindness and play, my heart opened to the possibility that life was more than ‘the seen’ part.
So when people ask if I will miss her, the answer is yes and no. I learned a long time ago that missing someone often assumes they are not still here. And I don’t experience it that way. As someone who sees holographically, I feel her. I know from my own connection with people on the other side of the veil that they are not gone.
The relationship changes form, yes.
In fact, sometimes when we keep declaring someone “gone,” we make it harder to feel the new way they are with us. We all have the power to connect more deeply, Leslie would be the first one to say so.
So today, I’m grateful for the way she helped this very practical, science-loving woman become available to a much larger Universe.
Who is that person for you? Who changed the trajectory of your life? Who loved you into a new world? Who saw something before you could see it? Maybe today is the day to write the letter, make the phone call, or simply say thank you. Because you never know when a birthday becomes a re-birthday into another realm, and you never know how much your words might mean while someone is still here to receive them in this form.
Then again, maybe you are one of those wonderful people for someone else… and if that is you, in case you never hear it from someone whose life you changed, thank you for your willingness to see another before they see themselves.
Know that every time we are chatting, working together, or you are in one of our programs, there’s a little whisper of Leslie in there. We are all fractals of each other.
Pass it on.
With so much love,
Jennifer
