Is it time to throw your goals out the window?

“The Ego likes to think that goals are amazing ideas that you came up with. Life wants you to know that it was already a thought form being molded in Creation, long before your mind ‘caught up with’ the idea.”
~ Jennifer Hough (Tweet me!)

Dear You,
Have you ever perceptively made up a goal, thinking that if you accomplished it, you would prove yourself, your worth, and it would get you ahead somehow? Consider this…

The being that you are automatically, energetically, emanates a request for a delicious life, whether your mind is involved or not. The Universe responds to that request with or without your mind.

Just recently, I realized that I had been attached to some goals for TWA and how we work with people. I thought we had to continue expanding upon the work we were already doing. I took a huge, courageous step and cancelled all our programs for the rest of the year, because life was showing me something different. I know that life shows us the “or better” scenarios, but for me, I know I must let go first.

What do you do when life is showing you there is a bigger game to play? I know it’s scary, but it’s also inevitable for you to fly… and you are not alone.

Metaphysically speaking, for every problem there is already an existing solution as it’s part of how the Universe stays in balance.

Should we only do things that ‘feel good’?

Well, you might be surprised to hear me say absolutely not.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not about deliberately forcing ourselves to do things that feel awful.

It’s just that I hear so many people saying… “only do it if it feels good”.

Here’s the issue with that:

Fear does an interesting thing to our brains

Fear does an interesting thing to our brains.

I was listening to a brilliant podcast a few days ago which my husband reminded me about. Although they didn’t talk about this specifically, it struck me how important it is to understand how our brains work. In understanding this, I’m able to follow my knowing and feel connected to clarity, instead of being manipulated by noise which can only happen if I’m in fear; it’s so easy to be in fear these days, don’t you think?

Fight or flight creates an interesting shift in the brain causing us to relate to those who disagree with our viewpoint as the “other”, and there are those who want to manipulate others in order to protect themselves.
